hi Doc, yes do the leak off test yourself.. easy peasy.. I used a redundant numberplate as my backing board (anything will do) I bought 4 bottles of water and drank them ! and had some tube lying about .. As Steve says, the final point on Ing#4 can have a bit more tube doubled over and clamped with a zip tie to stop fuel leaking out from that*.. if you want I can send some tube or just send my kit for postage (I would like it back ) or just get some tube online and make your kit..

* the tube that ran to this injector (or from it) did leak a bit when disconnected, I don't quite know why but didn't spend any time thinking about it.. I blocked it with a 6mm bolt

I'm really just needing the size of tube! Does the return pipe go back to the filter? Thanks for the offer mate. I bought an injector off a guy on ebay 3 months guarantee so hopefully it'll work out of the box!

I dont know for sure, but maybe 6mm internal? I cant measure as it's a walk away from here and time is slim.. just grab a meter or 2 of 6 and 7mm tube online for a couple of quid and get it sent over? useful and cheap>?

I just read again that screen washer pipe is the correct size so I'll try that when I get the new injector. I don't know how long it will keep going I added a bottle of Lucas injector cleaner, some 2 stroke oil and half a pint of petrol to half a tank of diesel I'm hoping it will clean the injector a little until its replaced

I got the ebay leak off test kit but I'm no further forward, all looks good, one is idle other is 2k rpm, any suggestions?

It looks like the two on the right may be passing a bit much but i have seen much worse and they may be within tolerances. What you need now is the exact figure you need to measure too - phone an injector specialist? But you may have just confirmed you do not have an injector issue which is what i suspect.

With no diag equipment or unwilling to pay for a diag from Citroen you may be changing parts for no reason - if you wish to do this replacing the EGR is you next choice of part - i advise you if you do take this route to fit a genuine part as there are a lot of poor EGR valves on free bay.

There's only one specialist close to me. He wants to do the leakoff text himself costing €200.00. I thought the results didn't look too bad? I maybe should buy Planet nobody seems to have it near me but would it help? I'm starting to hate this car! I read somewhere that 10% deviation was acceptable again I don't know. That level of diesel is after a minute idle and a little less, maybe 50 seconds revved. The car starts easily and according to the dash display is doing 64mpg, it passed emissions test last week.

The leakoff test results look acceptable to me and the geezer wanting €200 for doing that should be in jail for daylight robbery.

1 and 2 are a bit higher maybe both together are off enough to make it misfire? I think I will change the 2 with the highest leak and do another test. I can buy a complete engine minus the turbo for £60.00 might be my plan C, as usual there is no plan B
