Re: c5 lights
ok, I just wanted to check specs and procedures.
Try this if you get time:
Switch the ignition to the "ignition +" position (instead of accessories - switch the ignition on without starting though).
Close the doors
Activate the "automatic headlight" function (Long press on the left hand control under the steering wheel - may take longer than 5 seconds).
N.B. : A message is displayed on the multifunction screen : "headlamp lighting active". (keep the door closed to as not to mask any display message).
Now if you are not getting the message, I suspect that the sensor has been deactivated using Diagbox. A distinct possibility, seeing as the last owner had the Rain / Light sensors disconnected for some reason.
If you do get the message that the headlamp lighting is active or deactivated, to test functionality:
Start the engine.
Mask the rain/sunlight bi-sensor on the windscreen.
Set the lighting stalk to AUTO
Check the operation of the automatic illumination of the lights .
To check the auto wiping:
With engine still running, activate the automatic windscreen wipe (Position "I" or "AUTO").
A single flick of the wiper stalk downwards to activate a wipe should then set the auto wipers on.
Spray a little water onto the sensor on the screen - it should wipe.
Let us know what happens.
