Yep thanks for small mercies, no flaming pedals to negotiate the filter round!
I might manage a few snaps of the job for the X7 fraternity.

@ Carfreek:
Ok, here is the procedure for your particular vehicle - being a Left Hand Drive, I assume this is slightly easier: Unclip:
Remove the trim (2) under the dashboard.
N.B. : Compress the pollen filter (5).
Remove the first pollen filter (5) (In the direction of the arrow ).
N.B. : Compress the pollen filter 6).
Slide the second pollen filter (6) upwards.
Remove the second pollen filter (6) (In the direction of the arrow ).
Refitting
Fit the new pollen filters .
Proceed in the reverse order to removal.
Check the air flow of the air blower by operating it at different speeds.

Re: Grand C4 Picasso - pollen filter
I don't understand what all the fuss is about. I've just timed myself doing the pollen filters on my 08 plate RHD manual gearbox one. From opening the car door to popping the last fastener in place - 9 mins 11 seconds.
I do it sat on the floor outside the car then my arm is pretty much straight rather than trying to bend it around the place.
Mine don't look like they've ever been changed!

Re: Grand C4 Picasso - pollen filter
Carfreek's is a LHD Mike - so some different trim to remove - but doesn't look too complicated . Yes they do seem to have seen better days those 2 you removed. I pulled out half of Epping forest when I replaced mine - and considered sending it to the local school's Biology Department for some forensic analysis considering the rest of the crap that was in there - completely disgusting.

"Compress the filter" is the important part
Hardest part for me (again) was working out how to get the end cap back in the filter compartment.

Re: Grand C4 Picasso - pollen filter
I have NFI how you can do it in that time!! On ours, it's a real tussell to get the filter out of the housing - first time I did it, I got it stuck about 2" out of the housing and it wouldn't go in or out - eventually figured out that if pressed on the face of the filter with one hand (reached up behind the clutch - a second wrist would be useful!) whilst pulling it with the other, this freed it from the sticky out bits it was stuck on. I really wanted to remove the outlet for the heater, but couldn't figure out how to do it - this is in fact the 'official' procedure, and it's allegedly only one small torx screw - no idea where it is though, never managed to see it!
I think carfreek's is a MK2 which looks different.
