Lexia -2- C2

My Lexia talks to all ECU's bar two on our X7. It says "no communication" when trying to talk to the directional headlights and says "unrecognised ECU" when talking to the telematics.
Talks fine to our 2009 C3 VTR though.

Are you talking about a Lexia 2 or Lexia 3 though ? Lexia 3 shouldn't need any a additional adaptors. It's the older Lexia 2's that need extra bits to make them talk to newer models.

Well Easydiags sell the S1279 Module for the Lexia 3, so it must be required for certain vehicles and that's the Revision C full chip unit.

If that was the case, then why would Easydiags be selling the S1279 Add On Module for the Lexia 3 Revision C? : S1279 Interface The S1279 seems to be needed for those cars that were joint developed by Fiat and PSA in order to read those vehicles like the Bipper, the Nemo, Jumper & Boxer AFAIK

I only mentioned the issue with the Berlingo before because from 2008 they developed 2 new models with FIAT - so that was why I thought the standard Lexia interface might have a problem reading some of the ECUs in Alasdair's post.

Here's an extract from a Wiki that mentions the FIAT connection:

Based on the Fiat Grande Punto platform, it is built in Turkey and is also marketed as the Peugeot Bipper and Fiat Fiorino. The Peugeot and Citroën are almost identical; the Fiorino also has a different, Fiat made, diesel engine. The Nemo is intended to be cheaper and smaller than the original Berlingo.

Sorry I wasn't very clear, Yes the Lexia 3 does still need the Fiat adaptor for certain models. I was meaning that Lexia 3 shouldn't need any extra bits for the C3 or the X7 that we were talking about in that's specific post.
Lexia 2 however requires a full CAN adaptor to fully communicate with full CAN vehicles. If you use it without the adaptor it will talk to certain ECU's, cant remember which exactly as its been a long time since I touched a Lexia 2.
