Diagbox will work quite happily on Most widows 32 bit systems, and quite well in Windows 7. XP is de-supported now so there are no easily available service packs and definitely no windows updates.
  • There are no Operating Specific versions of Diagbox - there is a minimum specification like most things.
  • The initial problem with Windows 10 was that it required specific signed hardware drivers and there were no USB evolution drivers for the Actia Clone. That is one of the reasons why the message said not to install it on Windows 10.
  • The other issue, is that newer PCs that were bought with Windows 10 installed tended to be 64 bit versions of the operating system. Diagbox contains the embedded versions of Lexia and Peugeot Planet 2000 and were designed to work better with with earlier car models and will not run on a 64 bit operating system as they were written in 16 bit code. So if you require access to Lexia and PP2000 do not install Diagbox natively on a 64 bit windows operating system.
  • For best all-round compatibility stick to a 32 bit OS

I'd forgotten about my original success with Lexia and Windows 10, I still have that laptop but it won't run Diagbox at all now,

I've tried all ways to get it to work and also on another laptop...........given up the idea for the moment.

Neighbour's grandson loaned me a Snap-On kit that worked fine, a really nice piece of kit and very easy to use.

Thought I might buy one but at £1700 second hand I thought again. :(

Not to mention the ongoing updating cost of about (I am told) £1000 a pop.
