2.0HDI 120hp Injector flow correction? + Whats Rattling?

My Son Has the Pug version of this van the partner and yes it is rattily
especially when cold sounds like camshaft noise to me.
3 k oil changes seem to take care of it mostly.
we have looked for the rattle by holding a piece of broom handle to the engine
and the other end to our ear. I think its because the engine is pretty much attached to a giant steel box
which amplifies the engine sound.

Hi, I saw on local C5 III forum that this problem at 2.0 hdi engines was caused by fuel pressure regulator on the injection pump.

Er am i missing something here - i take it you have a 16v head with a chain driving one cam off the other?

I’m having the same problem with my 2007 Citroen dispatch 2.0 hdi, turns out the rattling is caused by the end of the camshaft breaking off with runs the hp pump and causes a rattle, currently the van is in the garage with 2 stuck injectors in the head so fingers cross after soaking they will come out in order to change the camshaft
