I wonder what response you would get if you were to ask Citroen for their advise and (if they gave it) whether the insurance companies would be prepared to accept it?

I'll cross that bridge if I ever come to it, although if I do ever crash the Activa I'd imagine the insurance claim would be the least of my worries given how it gets driven

With the grip of the activa if you lose it, it's a very big crash. And given that must uf us who own then for 2nd, 3rd etc cars to have fun I would doubt if you would ever see one going slow. I don't think I would have to worry about the insurance claim either!

I never crashed mine, but I did lose it, just the once. The problem is there's not great feedback so you don't realise until it's too late! I ended up facing the wrong way on a motorway exit ramp (J7 Eastbound, M4)

Had almost identical problem with our RAV4, V-rated, on Bridgestone H/T.
Was interested in Michelin Latitude Cross, but only available in T rating.
Absolute no-no (insurance, test fail and an offence) out here.

That's bizarre about later Activas going to 'V' rated tyres and the V6 always having them..... Only a Citroen...

After a very impressive delivery time from Black Circles I now have 4 brand new Michelin Energy Saver + tyres sat in the garage. Hoping to get them fitted on Thursday or Friday. MOT is on Saturday, although the old tyres will pass without any issues, I'd still like the new ones fitting before the 40 mile round trip to Glasgow as they're quite badly cracked.

Last night saw a late night session in the workshop, I finally locked the doors at 01:00. The Activa is wearing 4 new boots which are all nicely balanced up. She had a good going over for the MOT, and had a service whilst I was at it.

The only "issue" that might cause problems with the MOT is the exhaust. The rear silencer has a few holes in it. I can't complain as it was removed from my breaker which donated itself to becoming a V6 Activa and I've had 2 years out of it since. I've covered over some of the smaller ones.

It's getting a stainless exhaust very shortly anyway so I'd just like to have a ticket to do some miles before it.

Tonight saw another Xantia V6 on the ramp in the workshop. This time it's not mine though, it's BW's Xantia. It's in for a new coil pack, HT leads, plugs and a few other little jobs :) Now the weather has warmed a bit I've thoroughly enjoyed tinkering in the shed the last few nights. I was gobsmacked to find it was so late when I came in last night!

Anyway, 8hrs 15mins until the MOT beings... I'm off for some kip!

A stainless exhaust is an excellent idea!

I know exactly what you mean David, I've been thoroughly enjoying myself with cars too since it's got a little more pleasant out..

All the best wit the MOT :D

Just to round this topic off...

The new Michelin Energy's have been tested this morning. Road noise is lovely, grip seems good although I didn't push them that hard due to them being fresh out of the wrapper, and they're balanced perfectly :)

MOT passed as well but I'm about to update my blog about that.
