Truth be told I dont know. Will be looking into the air filter come this weekend. Previous priority was just to get the car running as I need it for work and its longish trips. I dipped the oil and it was jet black, did ask about and the chaps at work reckon it would blacken pretty quick for a diesel. Its smooth and thin so suspect that it has just blackened. I will be looking into doing much more myself from here on in, that way I will only have myself to blame when things go pear shaped.

Yep, the oil will be black very quickly after an oil change.

Confront them about it anyway. Even if you don't get a reimbursement you can put the s**t up them!
