How come I have never had a matrix go in any of my Made in Japan Honda's? Current one is 14 yrs old with original matrix.

Matrix failure on Range Rover is common...........it is a Valeo item. The Forte recommendation? Is that not just ass covering? When matrix fails the hole is gonna be sealed by the Forte anyway. Is it protecting it or plugging it?

Personally I think the PH level is the problem with a cheap matrix. The fluid will become charged only IF there already is corrosion within the system as it is the oxides (particulates) that carry such a charge.
Control the PH--control the oxygen--control the corrosion.

We use a system like this to test the system water after 6 days of service. Any concerns and we have the water fully tested by Fernox for £25....we get a full report which also includes particulate analysis

If our seals go then its 100's of liters of dirty water on a custom woven Wilton carpet....worth hell of a LOT more that an engine in a 2nd hand Citroen !
