Hi everyone sorry been very busy trying to sort things out. Thought i should let you all know the car has now gone to 6speedmanual for his Activa estate project. Sorry to all those who wanted bits but as car was still drivable he offered to come and drive it away.

However he did say any parts he didn't need would be posted back on here.

did you post pics anywhere of the damaged car? I'd be interested to see how it withstood the impact.

Makes sense. That could keep his Activa in original configuration, and get his project up and running.

You will most indeed see me at the X Tiam and it'll be good to have a proper natter

The front pipe is integral with the cat and Activa cats are a bit hard to come by but if you wanted to de-cat I happen to have a de-cat pipe for a TCT engine...

It'll need an oxygen sensor boss welding into it though.. If it's any use to you it's yours...

OK Jim

I wont be keeping the cat as my BX wont need one and will probably remove that and mate it to a BX front pipe.

Just need to find an activa front pipe now lol!

That, Tim, is what I've offered you in the form of a decat pipe

I'll bring it to the X Rally and if you want it then it's all yours...

Sorry to hear about the RTC, shame it took out a car worth keeping and looking after, and did not make contact with another, that would have been more expendable I.E. common as muck nearby!

Have now acquired a citroen c5 1.6 hdi vtr on a 54 plate for under a grand. Not an Activa i know but it drove beautiful all the way back from durham to shakey wakey. The fuel consumption was brilliant used next to nothing. But so missed putting my foot down and getting that kick back like in the Activa.
Yes i will be on the look out for another Activa but it will not be for awhile. And will probably use it only now and again as a track day car as my mate is always saying i should go on track days with him and his megane 225.

Any how i have up for grabs a front brake caliper, think it should fit an Activa,it came off an hdi when i got a wheel hub off the hdi in scrap yard the daft lazy buggers just ripped off the whole thing an charged me about £35. So am open to offers on that and also a bailey dump valve. I know,i know the thing of satan before you all start having ago at me. £20 for dump valve if anybody wants it.

I will get another Activa one day if only for track days.

The day has finally arrived boys the holmedog is back in the Activa club. acquired rather a nice looking dark blue Activa from from dr.madvibe. Got it home and realised it has a leak in the Activa ram at the back, think it is the return pipe,so I am on case of finding one getting it fitted and adjusting the bonnet to get it to close properly the mot ,tax and insurance and I'm back on the road. Also on the look out for Activa alloys.

That's fantastic news Holmdog and welcome back to Activa ownership.

Fixing the rear ram is possible. See this on my website

I've done one in the middle of a rally field before now...

:? Looks very complicated and for someone like me with limited tools would probably take forever. I want to get this back on the road. I think i will try to get the fam off and see if my local citroen specialists can follow your instructions they are decent old fellas that love their citroen and when i told them of my leaking pipe they seemed interested in the Activa as they are now so rare. :?
