Just done dip beam bulb on 03MY C5. I concur with Jeff [thanks], only possible with small vanity mirror and torch. Main problem is bulb clip falls out when unclipped [!!]. Offside can be done using this approach, but fiddly. Just check the spring clip location before removing.

Or splash out (not much these days) and get a borescope-type camera, which can be manipulated almost anywhere, and has its own illumination. You'll discover a lot more uses for it too!
