Practical classics did a feature a few years back, cant remember when exactly but it was a dante red early model with black leather - i can even remember when the Activa first came out and reading about it in auto express.

I know Practical Performance Car did a 'Budget Blaster' piece on the Activa a few years ago. The one they featured was a Dante Red one too. In fact it was mine - just before I bought it...

That's could be worth a punt... It's not the purchase price you need to worry about so much as the cost of fixing it...

Take another look at the e-bay posting. 71,418 miles, and the advisories all look do-able (hard spheres?, worn front pads, ABS light on, and a leak from OSR suspension). It also looks like a heavy valeting would help.

I must admit I could really annoy my wife with ANOTHER Xantia .... and I do worry that my Activa will packup one day... maybe have one as a spare I have family on the island that could pick it up for me and store it ..... please don't get me started again.

I want to cry . Just missed the idle of wight one by 3 mins, wife dragged me round damn sainsburys when I said I had to get home to buy the car . I feel all empty inside I hope dean bought it and it going to a good home
