In my experience there are not enough of these about!

Most MOT testing places around here turn their noses up at large Citroens.

I agree with Ben, Citroens should to be tested by someone who has a bit of knowledge about them. Both to avoid mistakes like this and also to spot things which are going to be a problem, as I have known things to be overlooked as the tester didn't really know what they were looking for.

Absolutely agreed, and although Citroens have their peculiarities, by the book mentality has supplanted experience and common sense generally for ALL cars IMHO.
A sensible and knowledgable tester or mechanic are an increasingly rare breed these days, and procedures have become the norm.
It often strikes me that this forum probably contains more knowledge on Citroens than the average dealership...... That is progress ?

I would say it definitely contains more knowledge on Citroens than all the UK Citroen dealerships put together. I can not imagine what a dealership would try and do to fix a Xantia Activas shuffle, they probably dont even know what one is now.
