Re: Snow!
This one's pretty impressive, but I think they had more snow to work with!

Re: Snow!
There is no snow here, I don't want snow here, and I am not putting up with it.
My gammy leg is cold enough thank you
Although........I have the old Landrover at the ready to show how
to combat the stuff and pull Corsa's into ditches rather than out of them.

You are right KP. For me that Landy is Swallows and Amazon stuff for the summer.
I spend more time working on it than driving it

Re: Snow!
Its all gone now, hope that is it for this year, I hate it with a vengeance. Lived on a very steep hill for a couple of years, talk about stress first thing in the morning. Now moved to a nice flat area, no stress, yay, but no job, boo.

Re: Snow!
I can't say I'm over-smitten with the stuff Michael. I hate how it turns to watery slush so quickly and then it makes a real wet, cold soggy mess...
Generally I like winter though, especially those cold, dry crisp sunny days of the sort we've had plenty of this year
I've lived in the Mediterranean and in the tropics and find the relentless heat very trying indeed. The Mediterranean climate was the worst. Nine months of hot, sunny weather guaranteed. So boring and predictable. When the first rains of autumn come it is magical - the dust settles, the place turns green, rivers appear out of nowhere and the edge goes off the heat
At least in the tropics there's some good weather to be had most of the year. If you like thunderstorms, and I do, it's heavenly
To be honest I like the British climate the best. Always different and unpredictable but never extreme. I'm willing to forgive a bit of snow every now and again as a price we have to pay for the good bits...

Re: Snow!
I would tend to agree with that, though I quite like a bit of snow. I hate scorching hot summer days, especially British ones wich are often hot and sticky but without the sun. As with cold, you can quite used to a bit of heat.
The price we definitely pay here is a much greater rate of melanoma - I've already lost one mate to it. Time out from hobbies at the seasonal weather peak, is less with hot than cold; after the sun's backed off you can throw a cushion under the car and resume - better than lying in slush after snowfall has ceased.
Much less cold/wet = much less rust/'leccy gremlins. I reckon it's a good equation.
As an FYI, I spent much of the last week shovelling muck in steady drizzle...

Re: Snow!
The heat is overated. Our climate is fine.........plenty good air and oxygen.
Give me the four seasons. Yes lack of light at times.
I think you can take the heat better when younger? Lest you have lived with it a lifetime maybe?
