Sounds like a C5 estate might be a good idea then?

lol i no on one hand i want to keep it but on the other im not sure if that makes any sence. i dont want to do it any harm only going here and there in it. i dont no!!! lol il just wait and see what happens next

A minor point - I see the RAC supplied a 600A battery.
I checked mine and the original Varta is 720A.

It may be worth your while to contact one of the Lexia owners and have the tyre pressure sensors nullified, although there may be problems with the MOT if they are original equipment - not certain of that though.

Its a 110 HDi isnt it? So no FAP filter which can get clogged if doing constant town use. I wouldnt worry, a diesel is far better for short runs than a petrol engine and you shouldnt do any harm to it by using it for short runs. You will struggle to get such a good car for a similar amount of money too.

No car will remain perfect or 100% fault free, some are better than others. Hopefully yours will be a good one

I had the same problem with my C5 last weekend but how do you open electric windows with the battery disconnected?
I tried the re initiation by getting someone to sit in the car and shouting instructions to them but that didn't work either.
I'm now waiting to see what my local mechanic can do.

Yes, that was one of the problems I said couldn't be overcome once the battery was flat or out.
It is recommended that the procedure be done in a garage and that the battery be charged for 24 hours so leaving windows open and the car unlocked can be difficult.

Oddly enough the Astra I mentioned had a flat battery that evening and I had to go and rescue my daughter and put my Varta battery in for her.
The battery was only disconnected for a few moments so we didn't get a proper chance to do the procedure on that. Haven't seen her since so I don't know if the electronics are still haywire but her lights and indicators were working OK when she drove home.
