Hi all

Hi again Steve i received the disc today with thanks nicely packed too

but when i tried it in the car it just says disc unreadable

any ideas

Pete,

On the stereo unit do you have a dark button? if so try pressing that for about 10 seconds, it should dry boot the system, the only other things is to try over a couple of days, mine throws a dickie fit every now and then and refuses to work.

Leave the disc in and drive round with it for a couple of days........

If that doesn't work then I've no idea

The RT3 sat nav is a newer system and I had a feeling that the disc wouldn't work.

I have the earlier version which has a CD player in a compartment by my right knee. The disc from this system may work.

Yes your right the cd rom unit is by my right knee when i sit in the car so maybe yours might work Kev................ I will try what you said Steve To See If It Kicks in ill let you know how i get on

One of the part numbers on your link above is the same as the number on the link I posted earlier so, this disc will most likely work.

Compare your link to my earlier link and see what you think.

If it were me I'd go for it. £27.50 is at stake.

Yes it was well said the only reason i put that in my post was because i did,nt want people to think i want something for nothing i just want help and advice and thats it and if anyone sends me something like the disc trainman sent i am very greatfull for the help if he needs any help with his car i will help him anyway i can, as i would for anyone else here thats what the forums all about

Taken out of context , it was an inverse comment aimed at no - one apart from myself who sometimes forgets the value other peoples good nature . I was not trying to be cute at your expense - sorry.

Thanks Again For The CD But Again it Did,nt Work It Just Says Disc Missing i dont know if ill ever get it working i asked Citroen themselves and they said maybe the system firmware needs updating but really they was,nt much help

This is leading me to wonder if the head unit is faulty or if the heads in the unit are filthy??

Mines has a tendacy to 'click' when you insert the disc, this tells me that the disc won't play, and to try it again, sometimes it can take 3 or 4 goes before it works. I usually, just keep ejecting it and reinseting it.

you could be right ill have to try and clean the heads i did think of this myself but it read your disc and came up with the disc unreadable on this new disc kevin sent it just says disc missing now im coming into a new area here there is a colour unit for a c5 available on eBay do you think it would fit my car if i brought it or would i need to do so many changes it wouldn't be worth it
