May invest in a breaker bar, only have an 18" torque wrench and I know what those bolts are like - nine miles long and up to the wazoo in threadlock :(

Will replace with non-threadlocked bolts to give me a fighting chance nex time.

I've done it on three Xant's with a breaker bar that was definitely shorter than 18"... Doesn't seem that difficult from what I remember?

Others would dispute that Dom.
The garage I took it to to be done first, soon after buying the car, said they could be a problem and he wouldn't start the job without a pair of new calipers being available as they frequently get smashed during the removal process if the corrosion is particularly bad and jams the bolts in the caliper body.

I get the impression that the problem is worse on the C5 than the Xantia, couldn't say why though.
