Rust! Should I leave it or treat it

Looking at Kenny's photos, it seems that drainage is the real problem as "we" face it. Drilling a small hole (say 1/8") to the lowest point in these rear sections, screwing in a self-tapper then pulling hard to create a downwards dimple, would perhaps be a pre-emptive move. Once the screw was out you'd have a neat little drain hole.

For everyone's info my old car was an estate.

I'll be checking and oil the sill of the new estate which appears and sounds solid.

If they are get some oil in there to make sure they stay that way.
