the only down side regarding tacking the pin out after the box is out, is you have to remove the clutch opperatting arm to allow the clutch fork to be released from the thrust bearing,
the pin will come out with lots more PERCY WHAT SIT,
i usualy get a screw driver between the spring and prize that off first, this dose give you a bit more length on the pin to get hold of

PERCY WOTSIT lived up to his name. Maybe the Plus Gas had a beneficial effect, but wiggled a very tightly clamped pair of small mole-grips several times, and it moved. Difficult to see, but very little rust apparent on the fork shaft under the bush.
Old bush unwilling to come out of the housing at first, but then the 2 locating lugs on the underside suddenly released. Definitely less play of shaft in the new bush, though there still is a little. Applied a little HMP grease to bush/shaft.
Difficult to say whether there's any improvement in the clutch operation, but it certainly feels nice. Personal opinion is that renewal of the clutch cable made the major improvement
Colin: I know I struggled a bit with the pin, but don't let that put you off. Give it a go - not too difficult IMHO
