Another Xantia bites the dust

Trooper glad to hear they are OK.

That looks pretty bad but the xantia has done dam well considering it doesn't have a strong front cross bar like a lot of modern cars to displace some of the impact shock across the whole front end. The rest of the shell looks bloody good to be honest. If it were only 3 years old i bet it would be repaired.

if you can i'd keep the salvage and break it for spares to keep others on the road.

Does the engine still run as looking at the pictures the good old XUD block should still go, but i would say not for very long with no water or oil as i bet the rad or lower crossmember supporting the rad has cracked the sump open :(

I wouldn't like to try it, looks like either a punctured oil filter or a smashed sump, as the oil seems to be on the road..

My guess is that it WOULD run!

Out of interest, did they seize his vehicle as we have that power in Scotland.

Most importantly as somebody said earlier you can replace or repair a car but you cannot replace people.
