Really REALLY very sad... :(

That was my car - and where those last two pics are from.

Yes; I do regret selling it - but wouldn't consider it now it's been messed about like that :(

It was a very tidy car that I bought from ebay with a very leaky front activa ram - got another, fitted it and drove it away (much to the owner's annoyance!)

As said, I sold it to Coombemarshal because the fuel consumption was a bit heavy for the way it went - I kind of wish I'd stuck with it, as I'm sure the performance could have been improved just like Gareth is doing..

I phoned the guy about this one and got talking to him about it.

He told me he wanted 700 for it.
He then offered it for 600 without the leather, he said he'd got the Activa velour.
He then offered me it for 500 without the alloys. He was offering steels as he didn't have the Activa rims.

Problem for me is the distance the car is from home.

Hopefully someone will rescue it.

I wouldn't hold my breath; with the money being discussed for the car as a
going concern I'd be surprised in m(any) people fork out for a car on steelies
with a leaking ram, no MOT or Tax and an asking price of £500!!

I have few I'd be thrilled to see fetch this money! May as well go out and buy
that ebay buy-it-now black V6 Xant for that money!

Anyhow, I thought like me you had too many cars and were anticipating some
new arrivals too nothwithstanding your s1 v6 that needs a new home...

Andrew,

The Series 1 24v that was in Germany is staying there.

The gearbox oil seal was gone on it and the gear oil was pouring out. The guy wasn't prepared to get it repaired for me if I covered the costs and it wasn't driveable.

The costs of towing it home from Germany would of been huge. And the car was at over 600 quid the last time I saw it.

The Series 2 XM I am still chasing.

I do need to clear some space, however..... if it stopped that one being broken/scrapped then I'd probably make a sacrifice.
