Just worked out how to read a calender (it's only taken 32 years) and realised the 3rd is a Saturday not Sunday.
Danielle's going to be doing some back breaking gardening with work for a local charity so we're not going to make this one.

Cant make this now, manifold is blowing really bad and is puffing fumes out to the engine bay, so not exactly safe.

So what was the event like, bearing in mind today is less windy, with no rain, and the sun is out, did yesterdays poor weather affect the attendance?

Also are there any pictures of the event?

The event was well attended, in fact so well that parking quickly became an issue making the nearby streets appear as if you were living in a timewarp :D the weather stayed dry but was quite windy. A few familiar faces from the showbusiness world were there, Mike Brewer presented it for a TV show, with Alexei Sayle and Fiona Bruce seemingly 'just there' doing nothing in particular other than standing by the odd car for a photo.

For photo's look here

I met up with Stempy and Jennie and did a couple of Lexia sessions, apologies to you Jennie I forgot to give you the 'Magic Tree' I'd taken there for you. Jennies Activa is quite a rare beast being a fully loaded Series 2 in good condition, overall a good event with a very wide variety of cars including even a C4, no not the modern one the original C4 :D .

Well, i had a really good time, it was my first trip to the ace so i got double the excitement. There were some really nice motors there, shame about the activa numbers, 1 s1 and 1 s2 :(

Ive got a few pics, i will upload them when i dig my other laptop out

It was nice to meet stempy, who has a lovely v6 xantia, and also dickie and his ds, which looks amazing! I have got a few pics of the ds to upload and thank you so much for clearing the faults with the lexia :D

I had a really good weekend, i combined it with an afternoon in London, a hotel near Mallory Park and the Sunday at Alton Towers, she only used £110 of fuel lol

Pleased you had a good time there Jennie :D

Was Alton Towers good? To have saved a bit of fuel you could have gone to Thorpe Park near Staines. My kids rate it more highly than Alton Towers. Less walking for them although I prefer Alton Towers for the lovely gardens there.

So, will you be planning to visit more gatherings next season? DSM rally, the National, Stratford, the CXM rally? At all of those you'll see plenty of FCF stalwarts and some very tasty cars...

Yes thanks, Alton Towers was amazing, and i am planning on going to thorpe park next year. Im going to take the kids to flamingo land before the end of season, its cheaper and its a much shorter drive lol

One thing about the ace i was wondering about, the competition was for a car from every decade and i asked to enter the activa but they said it was full, when i got there on the day i didnt see a 1990s car in the competition, does anyone know whether a car won the 90s one?

The winner of the 90's decade was the black XM parked in the middle of the cafe' car park. To enter the competition you had to register prior to the event.
