I will be in a BX it seems as the Xantia failed her MOT today, anyone got a good drivers side top mount as mines rotten.

Take the weight off it Tim, they seem to collapse and spike the bonnet when no-one is looking.

Cars now parked up until I get a new one fitted and its sat on the deck so should be ok, wont be moved again until its all sorted. Cheers.

If you haven't already then have a look through this thread Tim, see what you are in for. They spike the bonnets even when parked up.

Managed to get there at 4pm, and missed everyone

unfortunately the jubilee clip holding the hose pipe to the hydraulic pump failed and was letting in air (and over night letting out LHM!)
So I spent most of the day swapping it with the proper pipe from the LX

I got home safely

Firstly, the few photos I took nearing the end of the day in a slideshow

Got caught up in a bit of traffic on the M4 involving a few minutes of stop starting so not too bad.
Dave, I stopped in Taunton Deane Services to practice a bit of bay parking and get some reference points sorted out....something I should have done a LONG time ago. Suffice to say I should now be getting a perfect bay park every time

Steve, sorry for not saying a proper bye I guess you were in amongst the mass of people holding onto draw tickets

It was a very enjoyable day, met up with a few XMers and the other half of our admin team, myglaren, as well a few of the usual suspects.

Picked up a few useful tips including another way of testing front and rear accumulators and the art of carrying out a hill start on a manual XM with FOUR foot pedals!
Oh yes, and Richard from the CX Centre giving a talk on buying and looking after a CX. Basically, if the rear subframe is knackered the car is only worth scrapping. I still find that a little hard to believe.

Sounds like you all had a great weekend, shame i couldn't make it, will have to be there for next years events.

I was showing the new owner of our manual how to do that today, takes some thinking about at first.

Can be a pain on in stop start traffic on a steep hill or if you need to be away quickly. But mostly i found it good fun and always had a smile on my face while trying to operate all the pedals
