Getting closer - it ought to have paint in a week.

Xsara would have been raw fun, but the lure of plushness and known low miles remained too strong.

I've been ripped off a good slice on the repair, though - $4K on a donor car that was only good for windscreen, radiator surround/fan, bumper, front chassis clip and airbags/belts. $900 through a UK supplier who only sent goods (and still left me £150 shy) when a third party put a rocket up them. New tin for the front was reasonable by local prices - about $2000.

Aargh!

Alfa T-boned by a truck this morning. I wasn't in it, forchanitly.

Will be up for two good doors plus some light pulling on the B-pillar base. Can anyone furnish the new part number for an 00-04 offside front wing? I only have an eight digit number that doesn't cross to current listings...

Yes; fate's a right mongrel at times.

This was White Truck Man - clearly I'm upsizing. Been assessed by the panel shop, will have a price in Monday arvo to haggle with the at-fault party...

 Fleet depot manager (at fault party) is being an idjit. Have had to engage the wallopers a little more so he understands the company is at fault, and will remain to be considered at fault; we may need legal clout as well.

Repair estimate is a hair under $8000. It's all a bit tiring right now.
