I'm sure the way it's heading at Citroen, someone high up in the top brass
wants to put an end to the 'wet' suspension system anyway. I believe the
operation that produces the suspension components is a very high end high
tolerances manufacturing facility and probably costs Citroen an absolute
mint...

I think your right Andrew.
Citroen does appear to be moving away from its advantage ever so slightly. I can see it getting slowly phased out, probably more down to cost than anything else.
I would think a fair number of new C5 buyers are buying on style and not the ride quality or the other advantages of the hydractive system.
