Spheres..... New, Re-charged and Pattern Parts

Does a Hydractive Xant Estate HDi have different spheres to a non Hydractive HDi? I am getting some fitted by the Frog Halfrauds soon (NorAuto), and need to know if THEY know....

Well this is an old thread, and kept me quiet for a while.

I think it's answered my question, "how long to multi layer spheres last"… no one actually knows for certain.
However, the answer is, before replacing, they need checking, or more to the point, all spheres need checking regularly. So now I need a tester!

It also suggests that multilayer spheres will last for a relatively long while, but, due to their design their, when the internals start to fail, the end will be quick!

I have looked at recharging my C5 (X7) Spheres but this tends to put a dampener on that idea, my spheres are at least 14 years old, so there's no garrantee that the diaphragms, especially the middle one(plastic diaphragm), is in a long term serviceable condition.

I haven't asked but i imagine genuine spheres are not cheap, so who makes the best aftermarket spheres, or more to the point which companies should I avoid.
