Uses for waste LHM

I don't know if this applies to all brands but on my bottle of Comma mineral LHM+ it has a shelf/useable life of 5 years from production. Anyone know if the cetane value of LHM is comparable to that of diesel? 8)

Quite by chance, I've just seen LHM recommended on another forum as penetrating oil for releasing rusted components.
