Xantia Brake mod

Having just recently added a V6 to my collection, I found the braking on it to be rather ineffective by comparison with other Xantia's.

After an inspection I discovered the rear calipers had suffered the common problem of corrosion between the calipers and suspension arms. Following a clean up and new pads "Normal service has been resumed".

Wouldn't it be better to try one thing at a time ?

On the other hand, I guess Citroen parts are a LOT cheaper and more readily available over there than they are here, so it's not so much of a big deal...

Denmark and cheap car (parts) is not really the first thing that comes to mind!!

Anyhow, the disks are rather old and probably due for at change in the next year or so.. Flex-hoses is about a £10 a piece and delivery/driving cost to the spare pusher being about £10 I figured I might as well do all in one go.

Sorry, assumed you were in the UK, didn't notice you were in DK

Here in New Zealand most Citroen parts are hideously expensive but I am occasionally surprised by reasonable prices of some items

If the brake hoses are that cheap they might be cheap here too, I might invest in a couple and it sounds pretty easy to replace them, and worth trying, given how long I've been unhappy with the brakes on this car and how many other things I've done to try and improve them...(everything I have done has made improvements, but they're still not right)
