New headgasket, still overheating!!!

That sounds about the right range.
I'd stick a new thermostat in it, and consider the job done!

If the radiator is good it should run very cool, probably in the bottom third of the gauge. If the temperature goes well into the hot zone when you boot it, it will be the radiator.

OK, after investigation tonight I am now satisfied it is OK, on motorway it drops to below 70 with thermostat out. One of the fans is not working so I guess I'll get a new one checked the relays etc. neither are coming on at slow and only one at fast so I reckon it is a motor away.

New problem is now that it won't switch off, Take the key out and it keeps running. I am having to stall it to stop! work that one out, is it related?

Not related -

That would be the diesel rotary pump fuel shut off solonoid. If its the later model with electronic antitheft device - then its located excatly under there :cry:

Do you mean the electronic keypad? I have disconnected that by pulling the plug once the engine is running, and replacing it with a more useful tray from my old Xantia. Has this caused a problem?
