I have been lead to believe the "Bi-tron" is located under the LH headlamp somewhere but I've looked and I'll be buggered if I can find it but apparently it's there.

I had a good look for my Bitron.
Its not on the engine side of the inner wing or in fact under the headlight, so I don't know where it is. It could be inside the wing (between inner and outer) but I can't see in there really.

From what I remember of trying to fix mine you have to remove the passenger side headlight to get at the Bitron

There's a box under the keypad immobiliser that I think is the aircon unit, accoring to something I read - maybe haynes! Perhaps the bitron unit is seperate still. I think there's also another one adjacant to the handbrake.
That mystery fuse - it's marked F3 in the haynes book, but it's located not in the dashboard fusebox NOR in the engine compartment fusebox which are marked seperately, but in the "supply box", a third place for fuses. Or at least that's how it seems, it's hard to read any other way.

ok according to the xantia owners manaual... there are 2 F3 fuses. 1 is in the dash (not the one you want) the seccond is in the engine fuse box this is the one located directly behind the batery it should be the left hand botom fuse closest to you if your looking at the car fron the passenger side front head light.
The hayens manual dose make me wonder as there is significat diference between the 1.9td/Ct/2.1td AC looms (as a sample) and the imputs the ECU's use on the latter 2 arent even the same!
