It has estate front brakes, aircon, alcantara seats, a rear spoiler, mudflaps as well as body coloured bumpers (the inserts that are normally grey have been painted body colour). My Xantia would probably be one of the last prefacelift Xantias produced so its been fitted with a load of kit that the other one doesn't have. It was registered on the last day of 1997 and run by Citroen UK for 8 months before being sold.
There seems to have been two different rolling radiuses fitted to Xantias. The 185/65/15 and 205/60/15 are roughly the same radius, where as the 175/70 R14, 185/65 R14, 195/55 R15, 205/55 R15 are about the same. The different radiuses would need different speedo setups and would give different gearing, performance and fuel economy, I know my later Xantia doesn't seem as fast as the earlier one although it is more economical (different turbo, different Bosch fuel pumps and different mileages).

Aircon was pretty much standard for the 1997 cars (they actually released a pamphlet on this) I always like end of phase cars they have so much more on them. Sounds like you have a real beauty, with some nice components.
I will try and collate all this info together and add it to the page soon. I was going to add the info for the rear axel but then at the end of the settings it says it cant be adjusted! So I didn’t see the point.
Is this actually helpful or just more confusing for people? I believe that when accurate info is available it needs to be shared but sometimes I just think its adds to the confusion.

bit of a suprise after the phase 1/2 change over the wheel/tires combinations didnt change so where did all these 1.9 1997 TD hatches come from with the estate setup? You guys between you share the vin numbers you may find they are very ver close. and then tell use how many cars out they are.

what tire preasures do you have with that setup? is it the same as the estate or diferent?
Also 15" make them alloys, what type do you have I am asuming these are VSX's or exclusives or are they a car that has had the alloys added as an optional extra? (and why arent they coverd in this documentation!)

If this helps, when the Xantia was launched, all models apart from the VSX came with 14" steel wheels. The tyres fitted to the VSX were 195/55/15, 16V ones may have had 205 width tyres.
In September 1995 when the 'new' 16V engines were launched, 15" wheels were made standard across the range with 185/65/15 tyres for all cars apart from 1.8 and diesel non turbo cars which retained 14" wheels.
