Well, Terry Pratchett came up with Sapient Pearwood. Anything made from it would follow its owner anywhere (and I do mean anywhere! In 'Eric' the 'Luggage' followed Rincewind into Hell, and the denizens ended up wishing it hadn't!). A forest of Sapient Pear trees might decide to up sticks and wander off somewhere else.

Well there you go....You do ONE thing and then you have to do more !

So, after a good polish and a lot of self congratulations on "how good it is looking" ! I have had a sadness sweep over me as I realised the "orange peel" in the paint was REALLY PI%%ING ME OFF" !!!!!

So wet sand it is then .......GOD !...will I never learn !!!!!!!!! (this is a first time for me !)

I have to get a new pad and foam compound tomorrow for the final polishing stages.......

I have been using 1500 and 2500 paper & bLOTS of water/soap FYI

That's amazing! I wonder if it would work on the scratches on my roof? Worth a try I suppose, if it didn't work it really needs painting anyway.

So, now the bonnet shows the problems on the other panels.....WHY DO I even START these jobs !....agggggg

Now the roof gets the wet sanding treatment, you can see the "peel effect" at the unfinished edges.
Image

The edges are finished (to the tape), when both sides of the roof are done I will remove the tape and finish-out the edges by hand before polishing with the machine.
