Weird, it's usually half gone old bulbs that do that if the wires etc are good. Wouldn't really expect it on your car but it is a Citroen after all.

I suspect a wire to the indicator myself.....the car has lived in a hot/dry climate all its life, whilst great for under-seal/rust it can make wires hard and brittle. Now it gets wet=trouble (maybe) however other than the known issue of crumbling concertina wire covers I have not seen any "yet"

Wire to the lights and the indicators all checked out OK. Checked (it was OK) the indicator socket, all OK, cleaned it anyway and changed the bulb just to be sure. All working so still a mystery. Thought sticking relay, so I changed that as well for a spare (recovered) one.

As for the dash Hi-Beam warning light....today it works :).....even hammered on the dash, it stayed on....

sums up it 2, it's French :)

That'll more than likely be the sensor, they're temperamental on xantias.

Well I used the car today, and the blue light now works ...FFS !

Tried a little "restoration" on the side panel chrome strips

Stage one (untouched to the right, 1st stage "wet/dry" on the left)
Image

Stage two, clear lacquer (Halfords spray can) and a polish....before ANY work below

Use p3000 and work it, do not be tempted to use a coarse grit to start, fine scratches etc will be filled by the lacquer....which I applied in two thick coats and dried in strong sunlight/warmth
