I put the washing out on the line earlier today to dry and it's currently getting a final rinse.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Can you tell us all when your putting your washing out to dry so we can duck for cover before the rain hits us!

Yes, I've had a few washing line rinsing sessions last week. Though seems there's nowt like thinking about a spot of car washing to trigger laden clouds overhead!

In fairness I had washed two cars and just about stayed dry before the heavens opened just as the next soapy bucket load was set down next to the latest Coupe.
About 15 minutes after that picture, stopped again, so bit more washing, then rained off again, then bright and sunny.

It tends to be not a particularly thorough washing job normally, so who knows quite how many areas I've missed battling the above!

Fuel economy calcs again, C5:
649 miles covered,
67.32 litres= 14.8 gallons,
43.8 MPG

Pleased with that :)

Perhaps I could produce some sort of spot the difference competition! In line with normal expectations, C5 (and William) off to the tip again this morning.
Boot full
Boot full
Also in line with normal expectations, washed cars of last week now dust covered and largely unchanged from before I bothered! Ok, about half a kilo less brake dust per wheel on the C5!

In other news, Autodoc have listed an item like this:
Price per how many? Couldn't be clearer!?!
Price per how many? Couldn't be clearer!?!
Then sent me this:
A bag of one!!
A bag of one!!
Brief online chat with a robot, then better a much longer chat with a human being. Then actual answer had to be "passed to Technical Team" (who presumably are trained in counting up to four)
Initial response from them was "what has been sent is correct" though thankfully when challenged on this they reread the listing screenshot already provided and did conclude that one nut was not 4 nuts...

So, hurray a new order despatched at no extra cost to me!

Can you guess what happened next?
Spoiler: show
 a box
Second delivery

containing....

... one nut!

So round again with robot then human online chat. Apologies and promise to check in the warehouse before sending.

I've got a feeling AutoDoc is an intermediary between client and companies selling the parts. I've never seen a company selling parts to have there own app. Seems strange to me...jmo

There's loads of poor feedback online for Autodoc, but there's also loads of parts on there from decent brands that seem hard to find anywhere else, or anywhere else as cheap.

I've had lots of stuff from them and this is first issue really, so it's not really put me off. Main bugbear is the delivery times, the slowness gets on my nerves!

In fairness, once I'd defeated the robot, the online chat was pretty straightforward and the real person had enough ability to hold a conversation rather than read a script. My guess on this issue in this case is a miss match between the listing details (which matches the manufacturer: Restagraf, part number is for the set of four) and whoever takes them out the bulk box, sticks them in a ziplock bag and adds an Autodoc label.

Yes indeed, a very valuable source. I've, so far, never had an issue and it's good to know in case you do there is a way past the robots...

As for poor feedback online, it seems almost all retailers seem to suffer it - almost as if there's a cohort of keyboard warriors who do it deliberately. And then there's those who demand absolute gold-plated perfection without actually understanding the whole process... You know the type ;)

In the spare wheel well of the new Coupe, I found half of the retaining strap. You know what that means...

Another bit of my pointless "overbuying" webbing and buckles has come in handy!
New arrangement

Few bits of surface rust (and completely missing bit over the large round hole) quick clean up, phosphoric acid then definitely not the correct shade of blue to protect it.

Like a drum this area. I might try the builders self adhesive lead flashing sound deadening cheap skate method I've read about. If/when I buy a roll

I've had a sinking feeling all week that another parcel containing a single nut would arrive but my pessimism was very thankfully misplaced. four nuts in original manufacturer packaging not auto docs own plastic bag have landed today!
On with the tow bar tomorrow hopefully :)

Much like it got on the way of the car washing, it's halted proceedings on towbar installation today. Not really getting the measure of it, absolutely BOUNCING down!
