'Spotted' some French cars

Ratatouille [2007] : "Remy is a young rat in the French countryside who arrives in Paris,
only to find out that his cooking idol is dead. When he makes an unusual alliance with
a restaurant's new garbage boy,the culinary and personal adventures begin despite
Remy's family's skepticism and the rat-hating world of humans."

Speaking of kid's films, my son loves 'Cars' and 'Cars 2'.

“That is our favorite spot in the world, right in the center of the Pont des Arts,” Mr. Lasseter said. “It started with this friend of ours who’s an animator in Paris. He invited us to his house for dinner, and he gave us walking directions that said, ‘Walk across the Pont des Arts bridge, stop in the middle, turn, kiss, continue on.’ And so we did it.”

In the finished frame, Mr. Lasseter and his wife are represented as Citroe?ns in love.
John Lasseter being the director of Cars, of course..

Nice DS in "Bandits" the other night. Only watched ten minutes of it and my attention was principally on:

A fairly tenuous connection I'm afraid but it is VERY French and has some car content, in an oblique sort of fashion.

Since it was originally released in 1987 I have liked it, but it has now grown up, like the lady.

A DS car chase.

I was looking for the Autoshite site, and noticed this on a Google search

" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

At the large bend at about 1.39 minutes it might have been better in the corner a sweeping left hand one, if it had been a DS Activa.

Notice how they climb down after the car, and then (switch to obvious studio set shot) they then manage to get the case easily out of the car, but where are the passengers?

Then......

" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

When they get inthe car at 10 seconds there are two DS's and a Renault.

Then @ 1.12 minutes where there are 2 DS's driving at each other!

Off road at 1.20 minutes.

Then because of the tw@t nav I.E. map reader they go off course, and have a crash which despite how serious it was they all survive!

Then looking at the DS which has been damaged by the crash, it appears to look like an upside down dersh at this point, due to the damage it sustained.

I guess a french film is cheating a bit but Godard's Week End is an absolute French car fest! It was made in the 60s too so some absolute beauts feature in it. I'm a big Godard fan and this is very much worth a watch :)

The first chase looks as if it was filmed around Ivinghoe Beacon.

Notice that when they stop to speak to the Cop around 3 minutes they've changed car's, the DS they're in at that point has Pallas wheel trims and doesn't have the black 'B' and 'C' pillar trims  they then change back into the original DS for the crash.

Well spotted!

Shame the person responsible for continuity (or did they not have anyone checking it) didn't spot it.

As they let that slip, did they even bother to change the number plates!
