Re: Picture(s) of the day....

I had a plea for rescue this morning. My friend in Elstree had trapped a large arachnid in a vase and was scared to go near it!! So I had to go down and rescue the entrapped chap. Brought him home and released him onto our patio and within a minute the cat that has adopted us ate it!! I doubt the cat's owners will cover my rescue petrol costs :-D
Still inside his trap, as he was reluctant to emerge when I put him outside!!

Note to Mick: remember to send the cat over next time there's an arachnid issue! :)

Cocktails are good, but when I enquired what they had in terms of spirits - seems none had a bubble in it! :rofl2:

Maybe the latch has been put in at an angle sloping down to the end.

Double Tree by Hilton, Bristol North.

Other than wonky door handles, seems generally fine.

Tried to pay attention whilst walking the corridors back to my room - can't spot any quite so obviously "off" as my two examples!

Ah well. Will fetch some tools next time I'm down. A spot of evening joinery to pass the time whilst away from home! :)

You sure you haven't ordered the 'Wonky' room? So when you've had a few it looks normal....

The wonky door handles are how the staff identify which rooms have the bugging devices and hidden cameras for their 'special' guests. Shouldn't be too much to worry about :-D :rofl2:

Different kind of bug hunting kit required?

Outside our kitchen yesterday was this fella:

A Google Lens search suggested I should keep away!

Curiosity got the better of my wife and she very gingerly gave it a nudge with a suitable implement (in this case the washing line properly!)
Note: I do mean a nudge rather than a smush action

And found it to be:

defunct!
Sorry am less worried!

Never seen one of these before :)
