Is it one that we know?
[Edit] Just saw on your other thread that it is.

Nice work

I foresee a picture of a ESJ9 engine a la practical classics all spread out, with caption "Well I set off to re-seal the camboxes, but sort of just kept going because I wanted to check for piston skirt wear. Now I have an ESJ9 in a 1000 pieces. Anyone got an instruction book to put it back together?" :-D :rofl2:

Yes, I have Richard :-D

I'm only doing the camboxes as I've already stripped an ES9 with 170K under its pistons and I could still see honing marks on the bores so I'm not going looking for things I'm sure don't need doing...

The donor engine has only done 200K and is as sweet as a nut 8-)

You're bloody lucky then!!

My Activa had none of the wiring in place for the cruise control. I bought a brake pedal switch from a 2.5 XM for mine which apparently will sort it out, if I can find it I'll pop it in the post.

David, that'll be absolutely lovely, thanks :-D

I noted the presence of the wiring when resolving a foglight problem last year..

I'm staggered yours did not have the wiring in place

I put my head in the footwell and looked up the brake pedal, there's no wiring there, I looked behind the dash for the wiring for the switch, nothing there either, and when looking under the centre console there was nothing for the ECU there either :(

Jim's activa is a mk1 with comfort and winter packs, I imagine that the harnesses have provision for everything.

You should get your Activa done before the Northern in May, Jim!

I'm going to bring my Activa down rather then the XM this year... There could be a gathering of V6 Activa's!!

I'll bring my Activa Daid but it'll still be TCT powered. Unless I retire from work right now and concentrate on the conversion full-time from now until May there's no way it'll be done :(

Next May will be an entirely different matter though
