Ducks look like they're happy with it Eric!
Not nearly as muddy as our rivers are when in full flood. Ours are currently looking like custard... The floodplains are looking like giant custard tarts...

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I've been thinking that it seemed odd that Neil just stopped posting, without as far as I could see any mention of taking a break. I also am hoping that all is well, and that Neil will bounce back soon.mickthemaverick wrote: 05 Jan 2024, 10:21 I PM'd him and have had no response so I hope it is just a holiday and nothing serious.![]()
Edit - just checked Neil's member info, and "Last Active" is blank. I don't know enough about the forum software to know why this field would have no data - I checked Jim's info, and he was last active 54 minutes ago, so the information is being collected...

Every year Neil goes 'radio silent' for a while. I think he actually embarks on a top secret undercover mission to covertly visit all the coffee and cake emporiums in the North East of England and he doesn't want his cover blown

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Yes I agree bobins he does have 'resting' periods but he usually communicates privately during those. The fact that the PM I sent is still in my outbox suggests he has lost the internet, I looked at his list of posts in his data and the most recent was 23rd December. Either he has gone away suddenly or he has lost his access for whatever reason. It is concerning but I am still trying to get in touch

That's odd Steve, from his profile selecting the most recent post takes you here
secondly the bit Alec is referring to looks like this:

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
A couple from a walk out around town this afternoon.
The calm after the soggy bit. Looking north towards the TV mast.
Apparently it was torrential down this lane the other night. There's a stream that runs down the left hand side, mostly spring fed, but during the rain it was joined by all the run-off from the fields which made the whole lane into a stream. It's still bubbling out of the BT manhole covers today.

Lily. Rarely still enough for a photo.
Daughter #2 is over Covid so we visited her yesterday, also present Granddaughter #1 with great granddaughter #1.
Should perhaps add that the blonde with Lily is granny, not mummy. Sarah, my second daughter.

Awe
Actually both awesome and magical
Mine on Friday enjoying a Rainbows sleepover... She's too young really but as her mum is a Guide Leader, she gets to go along with her mum. And she loves it!
And today, playing the game of 'Spot the hidden trig. pillar...' whilst out and about...
A bit closer in
