No point in me posting any photos today... Nobody wants to see yet another one of Salcey Forest in all its muddy glory...
You do?
OK then...

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I would of run round it if a bomb was going off, if not I'd stick to my normal walking speed and walk round it. Is that strange or are runners strange...?

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
It's a moot point Ryan... Not all of us love splashing through mud and puddles like an excitable kid but a good few of us do
And we runners are all addicts... You've heard of the 'runner's high?' It's true. The body produces it's own form of a cannabinoid when running and it really hits the spot
The good thing is it's free, legal and totally safe... And you can't OD on it

Paggers church early this morning with the full moon in the sky...
My phone camera made the sky look lighter and bluer than it actually was... Taken at the very start of daybreak...

Just a couple random snaps from my work route for those that don't have any snow yet. The weatherman says we might be seeing close to -30°c next week. Not looking forward to that..

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Thanks for sharing Matt - very dramatic!! And Jim - your old running phone really does a remarkable job - especially given how low the light was.
Now for the contrast - dogs playing in the surf (Port Macquarie) - our Kelpie is in the middle (front).
And a bonus wildlife photo - although I didn't ask Fatso to open his/her mouth, I am confident it is a Blue-tongue Lizard.

No surprise you were stuck in a queue there... I always avoid it. They could use that pile of old stones to make some decent hardcore for a proper dual-carriageway through there...

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Last walked around Stonehenge in 1991 (you could still get pretty close in those days). Also had a look at Avebury stone circle - or what 's left of it thanks to thieving house builders!
Now I know that I've already posted a photo of dogs at the beach, but today I think I got the money shot!! This is Lighthouse Beach, Port Macquarie.
Also at the beach today, I saw something I've never seen before, and really still have no idea what it was or how it worked! Looks like a surfboard, but while a surfboard only goes with the waves (unless paddled), this guy was moving under power in any direction he wanted!
Anyway, no more beach photos - pulled up traps today and drove back to Armidale. Should be able to sleep tonight - 19C minimum down the coast, 13C minimum up here tonight

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Honestly can't recall if I've posted these before, so apologies if so. Have been recently going back through some of my old films from long before I had a scanner and getting them digitised.
Something I really miss about my folks place up north was that we were on quite a high elevation (about 700ft from memory) and had a more or less completely clean view west. We got some epic sunsets there.
Even so, I still very much remember this evening in 2002.
That's not an exaggeration of how vivid the sky looked that evening.
If you'd painted that it would look like you'd vastly overdone it, but having seen it with my own eyes I know otherwise.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Looks like red hot lava doesn't it! What time of year would that have been Zel?
Were you using slide film then? I used a lot of Fujichrome in the UK about 10 years prior to those shots - haven't looked at them for a while, but I don't expect the colour has deteriorated.
Actually, if I put my mind to it, I expect I could guesstimate the season when you saw that spectacular sunset, as I can see a planet in the top RH sector of the last photo - presumably Venus or Jupiter...
