Mud, glorious mud
My shoes during running the Bury Field parkrun Event Day Course Check - a mandatory requirement..
Ran in the pouring rain before nipping over to the nearby Linford Wood parkrun to timekeep.
Timekeeping at parkrun is via a mobile phone app. Rain falling on the screen can cause phantom times so I keep my phone in a big plastic bag when it's raining. Works a treat... My phone stayed a lot drier than I did!
A proper fun morning and massively enjoyed

One of four decorative blue sunburst stained glass panels on an old door
I like the colour and the pattern
I would regard these as old fashioned paper decorations, but full of nostalgia and colour
Flex a bit boring in general, but nice colours on this retro stuff.

My hall radiator earning its keep:
Drying wet running shoes gently... And boy are these wet after running through foot-deep floodwater today
I chose the design of the radiator especially for this task
And yes, I know it may suffer rust and live a slightly shorter life than it may have if pampered but if so, I'll just have to get a new one and fit it. No big deal against having nice dry and warm running shoes to wear next day

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I was looking in detail on the crapacitors on the 50+ year old generator gubbins that I posted the other day on a different thread. They helpfully said that 'Black is negative' (or somesuch). Unfortunately, absolutely no part of any bit of the capacitor or its wiring or the board were black

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Maybe "black is negative" only after it's been incorrectly tested and thus fried

Or maybe a description of it's attitude or mood rather than it's polarity? All capacitors are of course bi-polar, so may be expected to be a bit down (or even deeply depressed) from time to time...

Here's a random horse photo - just testing a lens I haven't used for a while....
