What browser and version are you using Mike? They moved over to an HTML5 implementation from V6 on.

Whatever's default for Window7 Home Premium, I guess? What Browser(s) should it use?

ETA: That'll be IE8.0.7601.17514 (though I've just now hooked it up to begin the great Windows Update.... I may be some time).

Also bare in mind, I previously had the same issue with fully updated Win7 Ultimate, using the latest Firefox version.

Yes, got that Mike, I really don't know what else to suggest, I still think the Netbook hardware maybe borderline. Shame you can't put it to the test by installing on another system.

That's a suggestion I can go with. I have a 17" acer (i3 16gb mem) I could test it on, Marc. It's not an option for permanent use due to extreme size and awful battery time.

Agreed but at least it would show there's nothing wrong on the software side. Let us know how it goes!

I am running my Easy Diagnostics rev B Lexia on a netbook with 2GB RAM and Windows 7 Starter (I am not sure what version of IE is running).

Yes but are you getting live data and graphing? Mikes netbook may be borderline for graphing live data.

That amount of memory implies a 64 bit operating system. Unless you can run a 16 bit virtual system Diagbox will not work properly.

Diagbox will be fine Paul, but not Lexia, which itself is a 16 bit app. We only need to test the live data functionality and the C5 II should be fine on Diagbox.

I have never had to try the graphing function, so I do not know if my netbook would manage it. I should give it a try sometime.

Meant to write Lexia (and presumably PP2000 as well) - my bad. Which brings me to...

Is it optional whether one uses Diagbox or Lexia on the Mk II? When Deian came round a couple of weeks ago I used my old Lexia on his Mk II car.

I think there is a choice offered depending on car year and Diagbox software version. For some newer cars it may not be offered as a choice as they stopped updating the 'Lexia' app. I recall before I had my own kit, that an Indy garage where my ex Citroen tech worked used his 'Lexia' on my X7, he didn't have Diagbox at the time. I still have the screen dumps of the BSI configuration before he updated it via the PSA servers. It clearly shows the Lexia interface. So a MKII C5 should be fine.

Yes, my Lexia (which must date from about 2008 - 9) has an option for the X7. I haven't dared put it on my car yet though!

Mine is an earlier model though Paul, but personally I always use Diagbox as I find I keep pressing the wrong buttons in Lexia, having to revert back to the keyboard, just like my pal Scotty!

Happy to be corrected on this & don't want to muddy the water too much here, but thought it best to mention in case it makes a difference to further testing that afaik Lexia is a 32bit app. WinXP is a 32 bit OS and runs 16bit apps under a kind of VM (NTVDM). You can check if you have 16 bit apps by running the task master (Ctrl-Alt-Del) and looking at the running processes, under 'options' there's a tick box to show 16 bit tasks. I ran Lexia & PP2000 and did not see a 16bit flag. As I don't have any 16bit apps that I know of, it's hard to be sure what one looks like under task master :-) If Lexia is 32 bit, chances are that Diagbox is too.
Back to the graphics problem reported earlier, does it need Java?
