No dispute. I was 7 minutes over so it was a fair cop...

The irony is that I have a yearly parking pass for this place. It allows two cars to be registered to it but both cars cannot be there at the same time.

On this occasion we went there in separate cars for logistical reasons - hence why I ended up paying...

We had a great time so paying the parking fine was well worth it

I so wish I had have seen this. I've readily challenged loads of these and won.

Reminds me of the time where I let one of these companies off. They took me to court and I won. Their two-bit solicitor turned up and got his a**e kicked around the judge's chambers. Plus I raised the fact that their signs didn't have planning permission as they were in a Conservation Area. They then gave my details to their wrong company (both Excel Parking Services and Vehicle Control Services are run by the same amoeba - Simon Renshaw. Self-made millionaire from running these scam companies). So when I contacted the land owner they gave my detail to Excel Parking Services and it was VCS that were the ones chasing me. I could, and wish I had have taken, T Bailey-Forman (the landowner and local newspaper outfit) to court for breach of GDPR.

Speculative invoices though I appreciate challenging one would probably stress you out. More often than not, the parking companies do not have formal contracts with the landowners and that is the start of one nail in their coffin. Plenty about it online.

Also, they have used ANPR so I don't see how they would link that to your pass. Too late to even bother giving it any thought anymore. There are very specific rules of how they obtain your information from DVLA (under a KADOE contract from memory) and this links to Schedule 4 of The Protections of Freedoms Act 2012. More often than not, they fail to correctly apply the legislation which is usually the main win point.

I am sure of the forum will have heard of pepipoo forum which has now fallen by the wayside in favour or FTLA.UK which is the replacement Legal Advice forum for these matters although it just doesn't seem to be managed as well as it was and a lot of superb information was lost in the ether because the website domain wasn't renewed on pepipoo. It is possible that the owner died of Covid. No-one knew how to contact him.

It was an open and shut case Roger, and even if it wasn't I just couldn't be ar$ed for the sake of 25 quid... Loads of potential aggro I can well live without... These days I take the path of least resistance wherever I can

Actually, last time I checked she was still her normal deep red...

This photo wasn't a result of AI nor a bit of 'photoshop'... It's actually what happens when you use an experimental film well known for its 'interesting' rendition of colours, reds especially.

I've shot two rolls of this film now and they're a real photographic lottery

This is a raw negative scan with no post-processing whatsoever...

The film is Harman Pheonix II. A new British colour film that, as I understand it, is still under development. Sorry, pun not intended It's sold very much for its vibe...

Never say never! I await the red Cupra.

It’s an interesting position to take on colour. Of course, red works for Ferrari and a Ferrari isn’t a Ferrari unless it’s red and whilst I like the colour pallette that they show, it cannot become a brand identity. We’re talking about a run of the mill brand against a supercar brand.

I may be wrong. Time will tell.

My daughters new to her cupra Leon tourer is black. Her previous seat Leon estate was red. In my opinion the red suited the car better. The cars are essentially exactly the same, a mid range estate car. The newer cupra is slightly updated being a bit more sporty trim, bigger alloys, a couple of spoilers and matt black trim rather than silver. It's hardly like an expensive supermarket lol

She may regret selling the red one as it becomes collectable in years to come.

Not a big fan of black either. Like you say, red is nicer IMHO.

Son has a new Cupra and hates it. Too many things it does that he should be doing. Blue so not a cheap Ferraro.
He used to have a Leon Cupra that was a dirty white that he insisted was 'dynamic grey'

That's a tragedy Only yesterday I saw a BYD in luminous electric fluorescent yellow/green. Loved it It's so bright you need a welding mask just to look at it...

Know what you mean Jim i used to do lots of photography from 14 up to my late 20s all film a friend of mine had a dark room under his mum and dad's stairs it was great the whole thing from start to finish, digital is good for obvious reasons but there's noting like film.

Happy to report al was found to be good at my routine 6-monthly hospital check following surgery My next one is due in November and if all good, I'll be down to yearly checks then...

We celebrated by spending the rest of the day at our favourite soft-play venue - we had a lot of fun

I've now ordered, after consultation with a specialist in this discipline, a load of rustproofing goodies from Bilt Hamber. During the dry heat of the summer I'll be busy treating the AX sisters against rust and with what's left, the van

Both the little sisters need a routine coolant change. Last time I needed it, I found less than straightforward to locally source proper old-school ethylene glycol antifreeze. Although I could find blue-coloured stuff, there was no real evidence it was the pukka stuff... And I don't want to use OAT in the little ones...

Zel, do you know? I expect you use it in the Rover?
