Had a look on Google Maps and couldn't see it, followed the route from the Lambton Worm as far as Stanley*, the only thing of interest I saw was
this.

I saw that too Steve... Looks much better from above than on the ground...
I found it, it's called King Coal by David Kemp and the reason you didn't recognise it is that Google is looking straight down so you're seeing the round top and not the brickwork.
To get to it you pass through this rather lovely underpass going under Pelton Lane... It's a good walk from the Lambton Worm... Must be getting on for three or four miles...
