Can I just say, I am a bit squeamish and I absolutely hate this "method of learning" - I really can get the point without something to turn my stomach!! So many health and safety schemes seem to feel the need to show me such things, no thanks!

I worked in the chemical industry and on starting one new job it was made clear to wash hands before going to the toilet as well as after to remove any chemicals, not only to protect the worker but also wives. This was by showing gruesome photos of cancers of various bits.

Me too Matt and I can report lots of white/green faces and cold sweats over the years along with rapid exits from the room whilst these films were being shown.

Not least me. It still happens to me during my first aid refresher training. In such situations I'm terribly squeamish.

However, when I'm called on to deal with a medical emergency for real I have absolutely no problem at all and I'm a model of calm, reassuring and able.

I'm fine with seeing and dealing other people's blood and injuries but not so good when it's mine in any great quantity...

My Picasso is back with me Yesterday I gave it a good interior clean and check-over before loading it with the parkrun kit and then parking it tightly under the carport to keep the majority of frost off... Both task in readiness for an early start on Saturday morning.

The car seems no worse for its festive loan although I did note Sian did over a thousand miles in it

And she returned it with only half a tank of diesel. It was three quarters full when she took it...

It's good on fuel Gary but not that good She did state she had to put £50-worth of diesel in it... In an almost complaining voice

Carports rock. Yesterday morning all cars parked out in the open looked like icebergs. My Picasso, tucked up in the carport, was completely ice-free

I have another early start today and tomorrow so I shall be doing same. Strawberry is having to 'rough it' out in the open for a few days, poor thing

Very happy to report Strawberry has a new MoT

Just the one advisory. I couldn't feel it and the MOT man said it was only very slight and only apparent whilst subject to the 'shaker'..

I've ordered some spares. Having a hydraulic press means I can press out the old one and press in the new one, thus saving the cost of a whole new lower arm... The difference in cost is very significant.

She's now back tucked up in the garage...

Next to go into the MoT bay will be Polly in March...

And yesterday the new balljoints arrived to address Strawberry's MoT advisory...

I'll get that done as soon as the weather improves a bit...
