Storage is no problem at all, it's not taking up any room so it can happily stay here until we can work out a social way of meeting up - perhaps at an FCF lunch at a mutually good time and place?

If you're talking about grainy film, Ilford Delta 3200 has to get a mention.

Not something I'd use every day, but huge fun to have a play around with, and very well suited to motorsport photography - so long as you're going for that "straight out of a 60s newspaper" look anyway. Which is what I was after, especially for that shot of the E-Type.

I've got several rolls of it in the fridge here. Given how little chance I'm getting to use a camera at the moment you're more than welcome to one of them if you like, Jim. I must have had them for about five years at this point.

Oh yes please Zel, I'd love to shoot a bit of Delta 3200... One thing about it, I understand, is that it must be developed ASAP after shooting as it does not hold on to its latent image for very long.

This weekend I got your old Olympus OM10 basically working Steve, although I still have much work to do on it. The prism and viewfinder are both very dusty and a full disassembly is needed to properly clean them. The mirror also needs a good delicate clean too!

I also got a 50mm f1.8 OM-System lens with a sticky aperture fixed too. That lens came with a 'free' OM10 body that was jammed. Worth a look as the camera in general is in excellent condition.

Fixed that one too. A foreign object, a little square of plastic, had got into the mechanism. It's now good.

I'm taking it on holiday with me this week. I'll shoot a roll of Ilford's 'economy' Kentmere 400 ay 800ASA with it and see how it looks.

I'm looking forward to my week away... The break will do me good.

That OM10 has languished in a drawer for about fifteen years Jim, with no lens or body cap to keep the dust out.
I should have put it in a paper bag.
May be useful for spares as you have a working one.

I am already An excellent trip down here yesterday via Alasdair's where I enjoyed another drive in his Sinker Love that car

Funnily, I'm staying in the same caravan as I did back in September!

The weather is very warm and so far, no sign of this alleged storm, just a little bit of rain. This place enjoys quite a micro-climate...

I went for a long'ish run in the gloaming last evening and couldn't resist a photo of my favourite signal box.

The photo's rubbish as it was almost dark... I was intrigued to note that though the railway is closed until the weekend, all the signals remain illuminated.

I slept better than I ever do at home last night. This place very much agrees with me

I'm now going for a morning run and then later, off to Minehead to spend the day with old friends who live down here - right on the seafront. Left MK on retirement and never looked back...

If I didn't have family and deep roots in MK, I'd be living down here too!

No, not at all. It passed us by almost entirely thanks to the micro-climate in these parts... It was a bit breezy in parts and occasionally rainy but in no way could it be described as a storm...

I ran 5 miles along the beach before dawn...

This was lit by my head torch...

Ad then spent the rest of the day in Minehead with my friends who live there in an apartment with 180 degree sea views from the kitchen and lounge bay windows...

Minehead is hilly and we hiked up one of them to look down on the seafront area of the town. If you look carefully you can just see Minehead railway station...

A short storm late in the afternoon produced a nice little rainbow

Yesterday down here in paradise with a cracker of a day Full sun all day requiring suncream and remarkably warm for mid-December

Amongst much else I hiked the coast path from Blue Anchor to Watchet. The path was muddy, hilly, generally quite gnarly and huge fun. Good trail shoes were essential and hiking poles would have been very advantageous...

Today is my last full day here and as the weather is continuing good, I'll be making the most of it

Spent some time down there on my National Service back in 1953, stationed at Norton Manor camp, used to hitch hike to Blue Anchor Watchet and Minehead on days off.
The camp was a REME training workshop at the time but later became the base for 42nd reg Royal Marines.
