I seem to have survived another night :D The drugs have now all worn off, I'm in some considerable discomfort and can barely walk  Negotiating the stairs is an adventure

Everything is now happening very slowly and deliberately

My mind is pretty much scrambled. Expect nothing intelligent from me for a while.

I'm still smiling and quite happy despite all that :)

Taken out of context it sounds like you’ve had a really good ‘trip’ Jim

 Thanks all :D Pleased to report I'm recovering well and a lot brighter than I was yesterday :)

And mobile enough to at least attend parkrun for a bit of much needed social interaction today...

My drug runner called in on me yesterday with replenishments ;)

Recovery continues fairly well and two parkruns - and their post-event café sessions - were attended this weekend :-D

Yesterday I managed to be slightly productive with a bit of photography from a nice comfy outdoor chair I had to be helped out of

Getting in and out of a Vauxhall Corsa was quite a challenge too...

That and walking very slowly perhaps a total of half a mile over four sessions and over two days was quite enough and I'm feeling it a bit this morning; cue a very easy day with the only exertion being the baking of a cake...

Time to crack out the books and small projects

I've got an 8-track recorder with a motorboating issue on one channel that likely needs a recap if you're looking for candidates!

You'll have to join the queue, Zel, as he's already got an amp of mine waiting in the sidelines :rofl2:
He'll be worn out by the time he's caught up with all these 'small projects'

Knew I should have been quicker!

I'm all honesty it's a joke as much as anything (unless Jim actually fancies the job) as it's a very low priority that's been on the to do list for...uh...a while. I'll get to it one day I'm sure. I do actually have a system with an available input for it now at least...

To be absolutely honest, I've not even started on even the smallest project or even any serious reading as I'm not mentally up to anything currently. In that respect I'm not in a good place :( I'm fighting massive fatigue and mental exhaustion along with a lack of mobility...

It's so bad I've almost turned on the TV a couple of times but doing all I can to resist that. Once I do it's game over and down the slippery slope I go  For the same reason I'm avoiding 'doom scrolling' Facebook...

Reddit has been my friend... Lots of lovely rabbit holes to disappear into ;)

Keep your chin up, Jim. It's no real comfort I know, but it really is to be expected after physical trauma like this. Your body will be directing everything towards repairing the damage, small details like functioning logic centres in the brain go out the window. You'll be back to yourself soon enough I'm sure.
