Good to hear that you're on the mend in time for Chevrons Rally weekend Jim Hope the weather is kind to everyone there ....

Unfortunately I will have to pass - the Xantia is partialy repaired, the compression fittings seem to work OK - still took me most of the day to do 2 segments, one of the olives and nuts appear faulty as the nut wont thread up tight. I had intended to replace segments of all 3 3.5mm lines (2 appeared to have blown at the same time ) but the final segment will have to wait until I obtain a replacement fitting and hence will need to stay local as visually it is very narrowed and near death



The rear pipe tray is now a poor fit due to the pipes being slightly misaligned and deeper even though I planned the fittings to avoid the clip in points.

The 4.5mm also needs repair but at the moment I can't find a supplier of compression fittings.

I'm sure an AX with a Saxo lump in it would be more than welcome at Chevrons

I'm actually quite shocked that Jim didn't resort to training wheels/stabilisers on his push bike..... he's getting lazy..... As for black plastic bumper discolouration may I recommend 'green stuff'. It's similar to what they put on tyres to look new, works a treat. When is the Chevrons? NVM just seen the date I might attend and surprise you!!

Will be great to see you Ryan I used to have a Turbo Trainer for my bike and ditched it because I hate them with a passion. As I do treadmills. I only run and ride in the great outdoors

The bumper on Strawberry is painted so bumper snot won't work unfortunately. It needs a new coat of paint... It should not be painted really but no doubt it was painted long back in its history to make it look more modern when black bumpers were all the rage...

At Chevrons, the owner of this Ami - who's owned it from almost new - was intrigued to see both the Ami and my AX shared the same registration prefix/suffix - BFJ.

He asked if I knew the history of my car and I replied more or less in the affirmative.

We agreed it was highly likely both our Citroens were originally supplied by the same dealer in Exeter. It would be good to know

When we saw Skull on Friday he presented me a present each for my two AXs

These were knitted (crocheted?) by his other half and I am absolutely delighted with them. I know Autumn will love them too - her favourite fruits

They are now under the guard and protection of Rattiva, my legendary Activa rat - An IKEA toy rat (Ratta) that graced the rear parcel shelf of the eponymous very tatty Activa and then a very scruffy Xantia HDi I once owned and named 'Rattiva II'. Rattiva now lives a comfy life in my lounge these days - the rat, not the car...

* I spent many years successfully dodging visits to the doctors and now I'm in and out of there like a cuckoo in and out of a clock on the hour

Even the doctor joked that I now seem to be something of a 'Frequent Flyer' at the practice

A very good day spent down in Somerset

A bit of XM V6 24V diagnostics were carried out very successfully using my trusty old ELIT...

And then I enjoyed a delightful drive in a Sinker Xantia And with me driving no less. A true treat

I must say the Sinker drives absolutely beautifully

The XM in question is a rare LHD early model with Diravi steering and the legendary PRV 24V V6 engine. A very rare car in the UK. This one's in remarkably sound condition and is the basis of a tremendous project. It'll come good without a tremendous amount of work. It's good in all the places it needs to be good

Only on LHD models I believe Richard, allegedly there was no room for the Diravi on RHD cars... Like there was no room on RHD Xantias to allow a V6 Activa to be produced...

I've driven a V6 XM with Diravi - it's a bit magical
