Maybe it's something being added to his chest so when he looks down gritting his teeth in pain whilst cycling he sees a pair that cheer him up....

No one who has seen it would say ....me ?, only with night vision on so only in black/white (with a green glow) so all I can say for sure is that it is NOT Farrow&Ball Dragons Breath or Mouses Back.
