No, it simply because I don't need three fully road-legal cars and can no longer justify the cost Ryan. I may end up SORN'ing both AXs over the winter and just put one on the road during the summer.Rp0thejester wrote: 08 Jul 2025, 23:53 Are you sorning bluebell because Park Run is sponsored by Kenco and there label is red?

Re: CitroJim's AX, C3 Picasso, Cycling and Running Tales
I opened my boot at the garden centre and found I had a stowaway

This is Autumn's favourite way of getting in and out of my car. I should emphasise she did not travel there in the boot in case anyone is worried she did
Although, when getting back in my car she sat down next to her car seat and declared she was good and ready to go - she was full of mischief today

Generally now she gets in and out all on her own and only needs a bit of help to do up and tension the harness...
It was good to take full advantage of the parent and child parking spaces today

Not all of us!! The first time I travelled in a private vehicle, other than the very occasional taxi, was on the first day of the third week of my apprenticeship with the GPO, when I went out in a GPO Morris Minor Van with a Telephone Fitter for my first day in the field!!bobins wrote: 09 Jul 2025, 17:06 .....and to think we all used to travel in the back of the car as kids. We were made of adventurous stuff in those days
The last time I did that was in the back of a 4-ton Bedford military lorry
Autumn's learned a new phrase...
"Are we there yet grandad?"

Re: CitroJim's AX, C3 Picasso, Cycling and Running Tales
This sees me now banned from running for two weeks
By strict order of the surgeon...
She did complement me on my lovely skin and fine calf muscles

Happily, I can ride my bike again in a few days and absolutely no restriction on fixing cars
Surgery was to remove an iffy mole - it's now gone to be checked for anything sinister - fingers crossed

There seems to be a recurring theme here..... Anything with 2 wheels and/or exercise is bad for you. 2 legs running get it chopped off, bicycle crashes, motorbike crashes. That's why I park my ass on a bar stool or in a vehicle with four wheels. To my holy tortoise lord Amen.

Much harder to "fall off" a car, eh Ryan!?
Mind you, taking a chance on those high barstools (to an extent dependent on how thirsty you are whilst seated "up there")

On a more sober note, I've just taxed two of my cars
Polly the Picasso: £20 for the year... Up from zero last year
Strawberry the AX: £220 for the year... Totally bonkers for a little 954cc biscuit tin that has about as much environmental impact as a breath of fresh air...
Still only another four years and she'll be free
Strawberry's insurance is also due at the end of the month...
