We have loads here and it's been a good year for them, the only problem is that the brambles are growing so fast they keep meeting in the middle of the track and scratching the cars, I'm sure if you looked at one long enough you would see it growing! Keep chopping them down and they keep coming back. Very tasty though, we still have blackberry and apple jam from last year.

Not that many in my local park today. I expect that birds have taken them as they ripen, as they have stripped the cherry trees on the boundaries to my house.

We have the same problem with cherries, we had a huge cherry tree in the garden and the birds used to queue up waiting for them to ripen so I planted one at the top of the field - same result.

I am reasonably pleased. When they do ripen and drop on the path the resulting cherry jam tramps all over.
It has been a few years since though.

Bring a picture of a blackberry to join the August 23rd 2023 POTD fruit collection, they are in profusion just now well ahead of the traditional autumnal "Blackberry Week" half-term holiday of times gone by :-D
Quest completed although camera battery ran out so only a couple of pics of relatively ropey ones from me :-D

This was about the measure of them when I went to the shop at the other side of the park.
Not very impressive, the ones last week on the coast to coast track were better, less people around there of course.

My mother painted her bungalow red and white in the '50s - that went down well.
